Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) action will resume this week after the March FIFA international break.

Mashemeji Derby will highlight the weekend as AFC Leopards will host their arch-rivals Gor Mahia on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium. The biggest club rivalry in the country is set to be hosted finally after postponements since November 2024.

Meanwhile, FC Talanta will host Sofapaka at Dandora Stadium for a match that will be played at 1:00 pm on Friday. Thereafter, Mathare United will face Mara Sugar at the same venue.

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Bandari FC will play Ulinzi Stars at Mbaraki Stadium. Nairobi City Stars will be home to face Kariobangi Sharks at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Tusker FC, who have been in good form in recent games, will face Bidco United in Machakos.

On Sunday, apart from the Mashemeji Derby, Kenya Police, the league leaders, will battle struggling Posta Rangers at Kenyatta Stadium. Kakamega Homeboyz will host KCB at Mumias Sports Complex.

Shabana will host Murang’a Seal at Gusii Stadium.

Musonye warning

Meanwhile, as AFC Leopards plan to host Gor Mahia at the Nyayo Stadium, CHAN LOC committee chair Nicholas Musonye has warned against overusing the newly refurbished facility.

“We have only four months to CHAN, so if we overplay Nyayo and Kasarani, the stadium will not be in good condition for CHAN.

“But I have said, and I know the president was just polite, if we are going to play a match here and a seat is destroyed, or there are stones being thrown around, those two teams will not be allowed to play here. I hope we understand what I’m saying,” Musonye said as quoted by a local publication.
