Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has announced the guidelines and regulations for their County and National Elections set to take place in 2023.
These elections will determine the future leadership of the federation at both levels.
To be eligible for candidacy, all candidates, proposers, and seconders must be fully paid-up members of KVF and in good administrative standing.
KVF membership fee
Payment of the respective fees (4,000/= for outgoing Branch and National officials, and 1,000/= for others) should be made to KVF’s account with the payment slip attached to all nomination forms.
Candidates vying for County Branch positions are responsible for submitting their completed Nomination Forms and necessary attachments to their respective County Directors of Sports.

The deadline for submission is set for Tuesday, 11 July 2023, at 3:00 p.m. On the other hand, candidates aspiring for National Executive positions must deliver their Nomination Forms to the KVF National Office at Riadha House Room 19, also by a specific deadline – Friday, 21 July 2023, at 3:00 p.m.
To ensure proper documentation and record-keeping, candidates are required to bring a triplicate set of forms.
These copies will be signed, stamped, and distributed accordingly: one copy will be returned to the candidate as proof of delivery, the second copy at the County level will be retained by the Director of Sports or IEBC, and the third copy will be dispatched to the National Office for records at the County level, or filed and retained at the KVF Office for records at the National level.
KVF candidates Chapter six compliance
Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution is mandatory for all candidates, who must provide copies of various certificates as proof.
These include current certificates for police clearance, ethics and anti-corruption, CRB clearance, HELB clearance, and KRA PIN and tax clearance.
The County Elective Annual General Meetings (AGMs) are scheduled to take place on Saturday, 15th July 2023.

Nomination Forms for County Elections must be accompanied by a nomination fee of Kshs 3,000 in cash or through MPESA, payable to the County Director of Sports upon submission.
Similarly, proof of payment of Kshs 10,000 into the Federation Account must be attached to Nomination Forms for National positions. No nomination will be valid or accepted without the accompanying nomination fee.
The Returning Officers for the County Elections will be the County Directors of Sports, while the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has been appointed as the Returning Agency for the National Elections.
KVF elections observers
Additionally, a panel of five observers, in accordance with the Sports Act and Registrar’s Regulations, will assist the Returning Officers and ensure a fair and transparent election process at both levels.
The eligibility to participate and vote in the County and National Elective General Meetings is determined by various criteria.
