KSSSA: Rugby fever hits high as term two games quarterfinals kick off

Friday’s action will mark the decisive phase of national rugby supremacy in the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) 2nd term games, with four explosive quarterfinal matchups lined up.
The pairings feature a thrilling mix of rugby giants and rising contenders as schools from different regions battle for a place in the semifinals and ultimately, the coveted national title.
Quarterfinals pairings
In the first matchup, Bwake Boys lock horns with Western region representatives Musingu Boys in what promises to be a high-intensity clash. Musingu, playing at home, will be banking on fan support to outwit a Bwake side that has shown remarkable improvement this season.
Next up, Koyonzo High, one of the most consistent rugby sides in recent years, faces Nairobi School from the country’s capital in a highly anticipated showdown. With both teams boasting solid records, this tie could swing either way depending on who handles the pressure better.
The third quarterfinal features an old rivalry as Western giants Bungoma High square off against Lenana School from Nairobi. Bungoma High, known for its aggressive forward play, will need to stay alert against Lenana’s structured and tactical approach to the game.
Closing the day’s action will be a fierce Western Kenya derby as St. Mary’s Yala lock horns against St. Peter’s Mumias. With pride and bragging rights at stake, this match is expected to deliver fireworks both on and off the pitch.
