Rwanda made a change when the second half began when Ndayishimiye was withdrawn and Olivier Rukundo was thrown into action.
Kenya’s head coach, Salim Babu, made his first change in the 57th minute when Duncan Oluoch and Humphrey Aroko came in for Louise Ingavi and Kibet, respectively.
The second change for Rwanda was made a few minutes later, when Jean-Paul Irakoze was given some minutes and Pascal Iradukunda came out.
Despite a late resurgence by the Rwandans, Kenya were able to hold onto their lead and take their tally to six points.
