Kibera Black Stars, Kajiado, SS Assad pick identical wins in NSL

Kibera Black Stars clinched their inaugural victory of the season with a 2-0 away triumph against Silibwet at Silibwet Stadium on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
The breakthrough arrived just before halftime, courtesy of Richdonald Bolo, who found the back of the net. Michael Owen further solidified their lead with a goal in the 72nd minute.
NSL home advantage
In another fixture, SS Assad made the most of their home advantage, defeating Rainbow FC 2-0. The first half remained goalless, but the match dynamics shifted in the second half.
Alex Mwalimu struck in the 76th minute, and Lazo Nongela added another goal in the 85th minute, ultimately making the difference.
Meanwhile, Kajiado secured their second consecutive win of the season, triumphing 2-0. Ayub Twaha scored in the 61st minute, and Alfani Kateti sealed the deal with a goal in the 79th minute.
NSL newbies
Additional noteworthy results included Mombasa Elite’s victory over Gusii FC and a 1-1 draw between Naivas and FKF NSL newcomers Luanda Villa. The match between Darajani Gogo and Mombasa Stars ended in a goalless draw.
