Kiambu MCA gifts local football team public toilet

Ruiru Hotstars football club was awarded a token of appreciation from Biashara area Member of County Assembly Njoroge Kururia despite their 1-0 loss to Young Bulls FC in a local league match.

In addition to the toilet, the MCA gave the team members ksh50,000.

Team Manager Ouma Risto says the project will be an income-generating business for the team that participates in the FKF-Division One.

The toilet is situated in Ruiru town and will be managed by the team to help in cutting the cost the team has been accruing through transport and accommodation during away fixtures.

‘’The business project comes as a good opportunity for us to cut the cost of transport and other basic niceties,’’ Ouma told People Daily Digital.

Ouma maintains that their team is lacking a sponsor and could only rely on well-wishers and the fanbase to stay afloat in the league.

He adds that the MCA also promised them more goodies in the near future as they seek to participate in the National Super League.

The team is currently placed fourth on the log with 42 points, 12 behind leaders Naivas FC.

‘’We support leaders who are willing to help the youths in developing and nurturing talents in sports,’’ Ouma concluded.
