Kenyan runners dominate 2022 Los Angeles Marathon
By Story Agencies, March 21, 2022Kenyan runners have exhibited their dominance in the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon. Around 15,000 runners returned to the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday to take part in one of the largest marathons in the United States.
Kenyan athlete John Korir (pictured), 25, was the men’s winner for the second straight year with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 7 seconds, followed by Kenya’s Edwin Kimutai and Ethiopia’s Berhanu Bekele Berga. In the women’s race, Kenya’s Delvine Meringor, 29, finished first with a time of 2:25:03.
Kenya’s Antonia Kwambai was second, and Ethiopia’s Biruktayit Degefa finished third. -Xinhua
