In preparation for the upcoming FKF Premier League season, Kenya Police FC have embarked on a pre-season tour to Tanzania, seeking to fine-tune their squad for a shot at the league title.

The club has confirmed that they will be touring two cities, Dar es Salaam and Arusha, where they will engage in friendly matches against Tanzanian teams.

Kenya Police vs Singida

During their stay in Dar es Salaam, Kenya Police FC are set to face off against Singida Fountaine Gate FC, a team bound for the CAF Confederation Cup.

The friendly match, scheduled for Saturday, promises to be an exciting showdown between the two sides. Singida Fountaine Gate FC boasts the presence of Kenyan international Joash Onyango and former Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the encounter.

The Tanzanian tour comes on the heels of Kenya Police FC’s previous pre-season exploits in Nyeri, where they played to a goalless draw against the National Police College team and secured a narrow victory against Marafiki FC.

Yusuf Mainge, the team’s full-back, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to tour Tanzania, recognizing the significance of gaining valuable experience from the matches ahead of the new season.

Kenya Police motivated

The players are highly motivated and determined to vie for the league title, making it their primary objective for the upcoming campaign.

“We appreciate that the team gave us the opportunity to go to Tanzania. We know we will get good experience and we pray and hope to win the league and that is our aim,” Mainge commented on the trip.

In preparation for the new season, Kenya Police FC have strengthened their midfield with the notable signings of Tyson Otien and Harambee Stars midfielder Kenneth Muguna. These additions are expected to bolster the team’s attacking prowess and provide stability in the middle of the park.

Furthermore, the club has made significant coaching appointments, bringing Salim Babu on board as an assistant coach and Nowel Mandi as a physiotherapist, adding valuable expertise to the technical staff.
