With the regular season having ended, all eyes turn to the Kenya Cup playoffs, where the stakes are higher than ever.

Two crucial matches await, one in Nakuru and the other in Nairobi, as teams battle for coveted semifinal berths.

Kenya Cup playoff 1

In Nakuru, Menengai Oilers, finishing third in the regular season, will host Kenyatta University Blak Blad, who secured their inaugural playoff spot by finishing sixth.

Their previous encounter saw a narrow 23-19 victory for the Oilers, but Blak Blad, inspired by Obat Kuke, poses a significant threat.

Led by skipper Ibrahim Ayoo, the Oilers enter as favourites, but they must remain vigilant against their determined opponents. The winner will face KCB in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, at the RFUEA Ground in Nairobi, Kenya Harlequin and Nondescripts lock horns once again. Nondies claimed a 21-13 victory in their recent encounter, but Saturday’s match promises a different narrative as both teams vie for a spot in the semifinals against Kabras Sugar.

Thrilling clashes are expected in both venues, where the high stakes of knockout rugby demand decisiveness from kickoff to the final whistle.
