NAIROBI: KCB FC were held to a barren draw by former league champions Sofapaka in a friendly build-up match played at KCB Karen Leadership Center at the weekend.

The bankers who were the hosts managed to control the game but were unsuccessful in unlocking Sofapaka’s defense which kept them fighting until the last minute.

Both sides boasting the services of newly recruited players, missed clear chances that would have decided the winner in the tough encounter.

The two Premier League sides were using this fixture in preparation for the new season which is yet to be officially confirmed. Speaking after the game, KCB head coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno said: “We played pretty well.”
