High 5! Kakamega Homeboyz thrash Sofapaka

Sofapaka FC endured another heavy defeat, this time a 5-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium on Friday, marked by three quick goals in a five-minute span.
Entering the match at the bottom of the log with seven points in 10 matches and coming off a 3-0 loss to FC Talanta, Sofapaka faced a formidable Kakamega Homeboyz side, who were seeking consecutive wins after a 2-0 victory in Muhoroni.
Kakamega Homeboyz break deadlock
The first 30 minutes remained goalless until Kakamega Homeboyz broke the deadlock in the 30th minute. Stephen Opuko headed in a corner kick delivered by Eston Esiye, giving the home team a 1-0 lead.
Homeboyz quickly capitalized on their dominance, scoring three more goals just before halftime.
In the 40th minute, Kevin Amwayi set up Brian Eshihanda for the second goal, and Eshihanda added another in the three minutes that followed, making it 3-0.
Ambrose Sifuna scored the fourth goal, taking Homeboyz into halftime with a commanding 4-0 lead.
Kakamega Homeboyz fifth
The second half saw Homeboyz continuing their dominance. The Masinza brothers combined, with Enock assisting Chris for the fifth goal in the 57th minute, sealing the emphatic 5-0 victory.
This defeat keeps Sofapaka at the bottom of the log with seven points after 11 rounds, while Kakamega Homeboyz has climbed to fourth place with 18 points.
