The move comes after the federation announced free entry to the qualifier match on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

The Junior Starlets are on the brink of making history following a decisive 3-0 victory against Burundi in their FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifier match played on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Abebe Bikila Stadium in Ethiopia.

Starlets goal advantage

The Junior Starlets showed clear intent early on in the match, and it didn’t take long for their efforts to bear fruit as Lorna Faith broke the deadlock to give the team an early lead.

Marion Serenge then scored in the dying moments of the first half to extend Kenya’s advantage, giving the Junior Starlets a comfortable lead heading into halftime.

With a 3-0 lead, the Junior Starlets are just 90 minutes away from qualifying for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

A win on Sunday will secure their place in history as the first Kenyan national team ever to make it to the global showdown.
