Harambee Stars defender, Richard Odada, is eagerly anticipating his first Friday match at Aalborg Portland Park, where more than 10,500 fans are expected to gather.

Odada has made an impressive start in northern Denmark, showcasing his skills with two goals and strong performances in his initial four appearances for “Hele Nordjyllands Hold” (The Whole of North Jutland’s Team).

Richard Odada’s comfort

Speaking to the club’s website, Odada expressed his comfort in the team, emphasizing the invaluable support he has received from his teammates and coaching staff since his arrival.

“Teammates and coaching staff have been helpful since I arrived here. I feel comfortable and part of the team, and right now, I’m just looking forward to tomorrow,” said Odada.

This upcoming Friday match at Aalborg Portland Park marks a special occasion for Odada, as it will be his first experience of such an event at the venue. He hopes the fans continue to generate an electric atmosphere.

“I’m really looking forward to it. So far, the fans have created a great atmosphere at our matches – both away and at home – and I hope even more fans will come tomorrow because it motivates us,” emphasized the Kenyan national team player.

Since joining AaB on loan from the MLS club Philadelphia Union on August 15th, the midfielder has not only contributed to four games in the NordicBet Ligaen but has also represented Kenya’s national A-team, earning full playing time in two matches during the recent international break.

He continued his impressive run by scoring a spectacular goal, leveling the score at 1-1 in last week’s away game against SønderjyskE at Sydbank Park.

“I’m happy to get on the scoresheet, but the most important thing for me is the team’s performance and results. Tomorrow, we need to deliver the best possible performance again so we can hopefully secure a victory,” emphasized Odada.

When asked about taking chances, he confidently replied, “If you have a chance to shoot, why not?”
