Harambee Stars’ Moses Shumah approaches double figures in Zambian top flight
By Luke Oluoch, January 10, 2026Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah bagged his seventh league goal of the season in Power Dynamos’ 2-0 victory over Mutondo Stars on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
The Kenyan striker got his name among the match’s most telling statistics despite being precluded from assuming penalty-taking responsibilities for a second time this season.
Dynamos’ lead came from Ayodeji Bamidele’s penalty just after the half-hour mark.
Inches from a double
The striker stepped up to convert from the spot after Brian Masajigwa was brought down in the region.
Shumah should have had his brace at the turn of the hour mark after beating his marker, but his shot blazed over the goal.
His compatriot Emmanuel Osoro featured in the clash as a second-half substitute.

Osoro went close to getting himself on the goal involvement after his cross was nearly turned home by striker Kapembwa Musonda.
Oswald Mutapa’s team now shifts focus to a gruelling fixture that will see the club play two league games and as many Champions League turnaround ties against River United before the turn of the month.
CAF CL struggles
ThaAbaYellow will host a league clash on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, before travelling to face arch-rivals Zesco United four days later on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The clash against Rivers United comes as a must-win clash as the club seeks to firm up its quest for further stay in the CAF interclub competition.
