CHAN 2025: Harambee Stars learn qualifying opponents

Kenya will face South Sudan in the first round of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Kenya and other countries set to participate learned their opponents after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt.

Harambee Stars as well as Uganda and Tanzania have, however, are guaranteed automatic positions in the finals given that they are the co-hosts.

The Union of North African Football (UNAF) have been exempted from the qualifiers given that Morocco, Libya, and Tunisia are also enjoying direct tickets to the showpiece.

Meanwhile, the first CHAN round of qualifiers will be played on the weekend of Friday 25-Sunday 27 October and Friday 1-Sunday 3 November 2024, with the second round confirmed for Friday 20-Sunday 22 December and Friday 27-Sunday 29 December 2024.
