Blow for Harambee Stars as key defender picks injury
Harambee Stars will head into the International friendlies without a key defender after Raków Częstochowa confirmed that Eric Ouma is injured.
Ouma joined Rakow in January 2024 and on Wednesday he was subbed off following their goalless draw against Stal Meilec with the club confirming he is injured.

The club has explained that tests done have shown that Ouma tore his hamstring muscle and he is likely to sit out for three to four weeks.
The club confirmed he will not leave their camp to join Harambee Stars in the camp for the Four Nations Tournament.
“Wednesday’s match against Korona Kielce ended with an injury for Erick Otieno, who left the field in the 54th minute. Tests have shown a torn hamstring muscle in our player. Erick’s break will last approximately 3-4 weeks,” Rackow announced.
“Our player will also not go to the Kenya national team training camp. Erick, get well soon!” the statement concluded.
Ouma has been included in the Harambee Stars squad named by head coach Engin Firat ahead of the four Nations Tournament.
Harambee Stars will take part in the competition that will start on March 18–24, where they will face Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The participating countries will also have their U20 sides taking part in a corresponding tournament. Kenya have already named a squad, and Kenya Police head coach Salim Babu will manage it.
The matches against the COSAFA nations are meant to prepare Kenya for the upcoming qualifiers set to be played in June.
