Harambee Stars’ Aldrine Kibet trains with Celta’s first team ahead of Real Madrid duel

Kibet’s kickabouts with the fancied La Liga giants come days after he earned his maiden call-up to the senior national soccer team, Harambee Stars.
The hotshot’s memorable moment with the national team went down on November 14, 2025, when he made his national bow against Equatorial Guinea at the age of 19.
This is after he made a cut in Benni McCarthy’s youth-dominated side that nonetheless fell to back-to-back losses to Madagascar and Senegal in Antalya, Turkey.
The player was joined by his beloved father, who made the trip abroad to share in the joy of the fast-rising star.
Budding career
Following a steady start to his pro stint in Spain, Kibet’s career has grown in leaps and bounds, showcasing his versatility and creative edge that earned him the transfer to the La Liga junior club.
The St. Anthony Boys alumnus joined the Celta Vigo B team in July 2025 after impressing with the Kenya U17 team, Emerging Stars.
He made his professional debut with the Celeste on August 5 and has never looked back.
The close of the year has also seen the young midfielder wrapping up what has been a breakout year by all intents and purposes, in scintillating form.
The attacking midfielder currently boasts a record of three goals in his last two games for the Cantera. One of his recent memorable games saw him notching a brace in a 7-2 hammering of Real Oviedo’s U19 on November 23, 2025, a feat that seemingly caught the attention of the first-team coaching staff.
He, however, missed out on the final squad that will do duty for the club against Madrid in the anticipated league duel on Sunday.
