Darajani Gogo reveal amount raised from Shabana match

Despite suffering a 3-0 defeat to Shabana FC, Gogo Darajani managed to raise a substantial sum of Ksh 216,300 from the match. The club shared the fundraising details on their official social media platforms.
Gogo Darajani had set the gate charges at Ksh 200 for the VIP section, while spectators who watched the match from the terraces paid Ksh 100. Almost 1,000 fans attended the clash.
Gofo-Shabana surpasses
This impressive fundraising achievement is notable, as it surpasses the amounts raised by some clubs in the top-tier FKF Premier League.
The match witnessed the dominance of Shabana FC, a team based in Kisii, who are already guaranteed a spot in the upcoming FKF Premier League.

With the added incentive of securing the league title, Shabana FC delivered a commanding performance.
In the first half, Shabana FC seized control of the game, showcasing their skill and ability. Peter Ongechi’s expertly taken free-kick just outside the 18-yard box found the back of the net, granting Shabana a well-deserved 1-0 lead as the teams headed into halftime.

The second half saw Shabana FC maintain their dominance and intensify their attacking efforts.
It wasn’t until the 70th minute that they extended their lead, with Ongechi rising above the defence to score the second goal off another free kick, solidifying Shabana‘s advantage.
Continuing to apply pressure, Shabana FC sealed their victory in the 84th minute when Onchiri Nehemiah found the net, securing the third and final goal of the match.
Title-chasing Shabana
This comprehensive win further highlighted Shabana FC’s strength and determination as they pursue the league title.
Currently, Shabana FC sit at the top of the league standings with 67 points after 29 matches in this year’s campaign, recording 21 wins, four draws, and four losses.

Muranga Seals closely trail in second place with 64 points, boasting 20 wins, seven draws, and two losses. Both teams have already secured promotion to the FKF Premier League.
Mara Sugar and Migori Youth are chasing the playoffs slot, with 54 and 53 points respectively. Gogo Darajani currently occupy the fifth position with 43 points, achieved through 12 wins, seven draws, and 11 losses.
