Record Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions, Gor Mahia, have announced the signing of Frank Odhiambo, who returns to the club on a two-year deal from Swedish side Djurgårdens IF.

Taking to its social media pages on Saturday, January 17, 2026, the club welcomed the defender back as it aims to cement its pole position in the standings of the ongoing Sportpesa League.

”We are pleased to announce the signing of defender Frank Odhiambo from Swedish side Djurgårdens IF; Frank returns on a two-year deal.
Welcome back, Frank Odhiambo,” Gor Mahia said in a statement.

The decisive moment arrived in the 82nd minute when Ghanaian forward Ebenezer Assifuah marked his debut in style, slotting home the winning goal to complete a remarkable turnaround and send Kasarani into celebration.

The victory propels Gor Mahia to the top of the league table on goal difference, leapfrogging AFC Leopards and doing so with a game in hand, as the title race continues to gather momentum. Gor Mahia will welcome Mmara Sugar in another crucial league fixture on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Nyayo National Stadium.
