FKF Premier League review, standings after 6 rounds

Week 6 of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League concluded on Monday, October 9, with two games.
Although the Mashemeji Derby on Saturday was the week’s biggest action, the match in Muhoroni pitting Muhoroni Youth and KCB stole the show on a negative note after it was abandoned in the 90th minute.
The game was called off because of crowd trouble, and KCB await the League and Competitions’ Committee’s ruling on the same. KCB could end up being given the points because they were leading by a 1-0 margin when the fan trouble occurred.
Posta Rangers’ fine form
Meanwhile, Posta Rangers’ good form continued when they managed another win on matchday 6 over Nzoia Sugar. Their 2-0 win took their tally to 16 points, four ahead of Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia were 2-0 winners against their traditional arch-rivals AFC Leopards. The victory on Derby Day saw K’Ogalo return to winning ways after drawing in the previous two games.
Tusker have not had a dream start in the campaign and were beaten 1-0 by Shabana, who have also struggled. This was the first win for Tore Bobe, who have struggled to replicate the fine form seen last season when they lifted the National Super League title.
With the defeat, Tusker dropped to position 8, while Shabana moved to 13 with six points.
Murang’a Seal have been in phenomenal form as they ply trade for the first time in the top flight. They are third with 12 points after another convincing 2-0 win over Sofapaka.
However, the league debutants, as well as Go Mahia, might drop a place down the table if KCB are awarded a win from the aborted match against Muhoroni Youth.
That means the Bankers will go into second place with 14 points, two more than Gor Mahia and Seal.
Ingwe’s dismal performance
After a loss in the Mashemeji Derby, Ingwe dropped to the relegation zone as their wait for their first win of the season continues.
With four points from 6 games, AFC Leopards are in 17th place, just above Sofapaka, who are also winless in the season.
