FKF Premier League review, standings after 5 rounds
After the completion of five rounds in the FKF Premier League (FKF PL), only two out of 18 teams remain undefeated.
Posta Rangers continued their impressive start to the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

This win extended their winning streak to four matches, with two of those victories ending in a 1-0 scoreline.
Posta Rangers also secured their third clean sheet of the season. With 13 points out of a possible 15, they have scored eight goals while conceding just one.
In contrast, Gor Mahia FC dropped points once again, this time being held to a draw against KCB FC. Gor conceded an early goal in the 17th minute but managed to salvage a point with a late 88th-minute goal by Rodgers Mugisha.
This draw left the defending champions with nine points after five matches.
Murang’a Seal sit third in the standings, also with nine points, but with an inferior goal differential compared to Gor Mahia.
KCB climbed into the top four with eight points following their draw against Gor Mahia. Other teams with eight points include Kariobangi Sharks, Tusker FC, and Nairobi City Stars, the latter securing back-to-back wins by defeating Sofapaka.
FKF Premier League mid-table
Kakamega Homeboyz and Bandari, who faced off in Mbaraki, both have seven points after Homeboyz secured a 1-0 win on the coast.
Bidco United, Muhoroni Youth, Posta Rangers, and FC Talanta each have six points after the five rounds. Kenya Police ended their winless streak by defeating Bidco United.
Under the guidance of their new coach, Zdravko Logarusic, Kenya Police secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Bidco United at Police Sacco Stadium.
Prior to Logarusic’s arrival, the Police had struggled in the league, failing to secure a win in their first four matches. The team showed promise in their debut under the new coach, with Kenneth Muguna scoring the opening goal in the 16th minute and Clinton Kinanga adding another in the 86th minute. This win marked their second clean sheet of the season, and they currently sit 12th on the league table.
Nzoia Sugar have accumulated five points in as many matches and is positioned 14th in the league standings.
AFC Leopards’ winless streak in the league continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw in a well-attended match played at Ulinzi Complex. Under the guidance of coach Tom Juma, AFC Leopards have had a challenging start to the season, with the team yet to secure a victory.
Despite being unbeaten at home, they have only managed to garner four points from five matches, placing them 15th on the league table.
Shabana FC, still without a win, collected three points from five matches and occupies the 16th spot, while Ulinzi, with three points, find themselves in the relegation zone alongside Sofapaka, who are also struggling to secure a victory.
