The forthcoming Enterprise Cup quarter-finals thrill will be hosted at Jamhuri Showground and Impala grounds. Homeboyz will play Mwamba at the showground after they beat Harlequins 24-19 while Impala will host Nakuru after the side knocked out Menengai Oilers with a 24-17 score.

Two more fixtures had KCB eliminate spirited Strathmore Leos with a 34-25 win while Nondescripts trounced Western Bulls 36-10. The two winners will however await the results of the two postponed fixtures to know their next opponents.

Kabras was expected to meet Mean Machine who were in Ukunda searching for their way back to the top flight league while Mombasa were expected to travel to play Blak Blad but had an Island derby to honour against TUM Marines in their countrywide playoff match. The two fixtures were postponed to allow the two visitors to honour their respective countrywide and championship playoffs matches.

Kenya Cup sides Mwamba and Nakuru got walkovers from Kisumu and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) respectively. They had been paired with the Ngong road duo while Nondescripts will wait for results pitting Mean Machine and Kabras. KCB on the other hand will play the winner between Blak Blad and Mombasa.

The return of the competition has brought back Kenya Cup rivalry and has also given Championship teams a chance to meet the sides from the top tier league. Despite the postponements, this weekend has two confirmed matches that will definitely steal the crowd and confine them within the Ngong road area.

The Ngong road duo won their matches by 24 points while the opponents both needed a converted try to better their odds. Impala Saracens shocked Kenya cup finalists Menengai Oilers to claim a cup quarterfinals slot while Homeboyz beat Quins at RFUEA to grab their quarterfinals ticket.

After failing to live to expectations in the Kenya Cup league, KCB could be headed to another tough knockout where the side kicked off by surviving Strathmore Leo’s scare at their home turf.

KCB finished third in the Kenya Cup league after beating Strathmore 52-22. This was made possible by a 35-17 halftime lead, struggled to hold onto a 15-6 lead and in the second half, the visitors claimed a short-lived 20-15 lead in the third quarter.

Kenyan international Matoka Matoka breached the Bankers defence to score two tries, a conversion and a penalty after coming in as a substitute. This casts doubt on whether the former Kenya Cup champions are ready for the Enterprise season after a dismal show against Students at their own home turf where teams used to be revered by opponents.
