Meanwhile, the Kenya Rugby Union has confirmed the final leg of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit, Dala 7s Division One and Two pools.

The tournament will be hosted in Kisumu on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium.

Division One pools

Pool A sees Kabras Sugar headline a strong group that includes CUEA Monks, MMUST, and Nakuru RFC. Pool B is led by Daystar Falcons, joined by MSC Rugby, Kenya Harlequin, and Nondescripts.

Nondies will be riding high after securing a spot in Division One courtesy of their Division Two triumph at the Kabeberi 7s. Pool C features heavyweights KCB Rugby, Mwamba RFC, and Homeboyz RFC, alongside Embu RFC.

Pool D is headlined by Strathmore Leos, joined by Menengai Oilers, Impala RFC, and hosts Kisumu RFC.

Division Two pools

The second tier will feature 20 teams, allocated slots through three criteria: affiliate clubs (6 slots), performance-based clubs (4 slots), and Nyanza regional clubs (10 slots).

Pool A: AP Warriors, Makueni RFC, Homa Bay RFC, Kisumu Polytechnic

Pool B: Bungoma RFC, NYS Spades, Kisii Kifaru, Sigalagala Polytechnic

Pool C: Eldoret RFC, Western Bulls, Kisii Polytechnic, Siaya RFC

Pool D: KU Blak Blad, Zetech Oaks, Kisii Rugby, Rongo RFC

Pool E: Mbale RFC, Mean Machine, Kisiwa Technical, Maseno University

As defending champions Kabras Sugar seek to bounce back after what appears to be a difficult season for the Sugar Millers, KCB Rugby will be keen to stretch their winning streak in the National Sevens Circuit in Kisumu at the weekend.

The Bankers claimed their third 2025 7s title this season after beating first-time finalists Daystar 20-10 to win the Kabeberi 7s at the RFUEA Grounds on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Sunday’s win marks the Thika Road-based side’s fourth consecutive Kabeberi Sevens win: 2022, 2023, 2024 and now 2025.
