Gor Mahia‘s goalkeeper Kevin Omondi clinched his 16th clean sheet as his team secured a resounding 4-0 victory against Posta Rangers.

Omondi’s exceptional performance leaves him just one clean sheet away from equaling the record of 17 held by Gad Mathews last season.

With an impressive record of conceding only 10 goals in 23 matches, Omondi, a product of Kakamega School, has played a pivotal role in Gor Mahia’s success this season, with the team securing 14 wins, eight draws, and just one loss under his guardianship.

Maintaining a comfortable lead, Omondi holds a four-clean-sheet advantage over Patrick Matasi of Kenya Police, who currently enjoys 12 clean sheets.

Despite being red-carded over the weekend, Posta Rangers’ John Njau boasts 11 clean sheets, while Bandari’s John Ochuka has also reached double figures with 10 clean sheets to his name.

Meanwhile, Brian Bwire of Tusker FC has accumulated nine clean sheets, closely followed by Edwin Mukolwe of Nairobi City Stars and Levis Opiyo of AFC Leopards, both with eight clean sheets each.

FKF PL top scorers

In addition to Omondi’s goalkeeping prowess, Gor Mahia’s Benson Omalla continues to dominate the scoring charts in the FKF Premier League, securing his 11th goal of the season during the weekend’s match against Posta Rangers.

Elsewhere in the league, Francis Kahiro of Bandari FC has surged to nine goals, Eric Kapaito of Tusker FC has climbed to eight goals, and Tito Okello of Police FC shares the same tally with Kapaito.
