Assist for Harambee Stars utility Clarke Oduor in Bradford City loss

Harambee Stars and Bradford City player Clarke Oduor secured his second assist of the season in the Football League Two match against Sutton United on Saturday as his side lost 2-1.

Oduor made a comeback to the starting lineup after being on the bench in their previous 4-1 loss to MK Dons. He played for 66 minutes in the game.

Bradford City, managed by Kevin McDonald, fell behind early due to a goal from Josh Coley. However, after a slow first half, they came back strongly, and Andy Cook equalized for them.

Unfortunately, City couldn’t secure a victory, as Sutton United’s captain, Harry Beautyman, scored a late winner. The match did not start well for the Bantams, with Coley finding the net just four minutes into the game.

McDonald’s team had been a threat from set-pieces throughout the match, and in the second half, they displayed more determination. Andy Cook capitalized on a corner in the 57th minute, heading in Clarke Oduor’s assist to level the score. This was Oduor’s second assist of the season.

Andy Cook had a couple of close opportunities to add to his tally, but he was denied by Sutton’s goalkeeper, Dean Bouzanis, and later hit the crossbar with a volley.

Clarke Oduor’s side late minutes

As the game entered its final half-hour, Bradford City was the side pushing for a winning goal. They had a good chance in the 68th minute when Emmanuel Osadebe displayed some neat footwork, but Cook couldn’t direct his header on target from Osadebe’s cross.

However, it was Sutton United who found the decisive goal in the final few minutes of normal time. Harry Beautyman scored with a header that beat Harry Lewis, leaving City empty-handed.

After this match, Bradford City has accumulated 20 points in 16 matches this season. Oduor has played in 10 matches, scored one goal, and contributed two assists while amassing 672 minutes on the field.
