Christie 7s: List of previous winners ahead of weekend action
The 2025 National Sevens Series will make its next stop along Ngong Road, at Nairobi’s RFUEA Grounds this weekend, Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, 2025, for the 59th edition of the Christie 7s tournament.
As the oldest leg in Kenya’s National Sevens Circuit, Christie 7s carries a legacy of over 50 years of top-tier sevens rugby in the country. This year’s event, organised by Kenya Harlequin FC, embraces the theme “This One Is Ours.” According to Tournament Director Nekesa Were, the competition will feature 81 teams and 972 players drawn from Kenya and neighbouring nations.
The line-up includes 36 men’s teams, 8 women’s teams, 33 age-grade sides, and 4 veterans’ squads. They will be backed by 250 team officials, 32 referees, two citing commissioners, two judicial officers, and a minimum of 32 medical practitioners.
