Bandari unleash two more signings ahead of 2022/23 season

Bandari FC have announced two new signings, raising their total of confirmed new players to five ahead of the upcoming season.

The Coastal-based club has unveiled defensive midfielder Fidel Origa from Wazito FC for an undisclosed period. He leaves Wazito after two seasons having joined the side from Western Stima in the 2020 transfer window.

Fidel Origa’s abilities

The midfielder is a ball-winner with good close ball control and recycles the ball gradually and correctly. He previously played for Kariobangi Sharks before joining Western Stima. The midfielder has ten caps for the under-17 and under-20 national teams.

Origa is eager to help the Bandari, who finished fourth in the 2021/22 league season do well next season.

“I am happy to be a part of this club, and I intend to work hard to make sure we get more success,” he told the club’s media.

Douglas Mokaya, a left-footed midfielder, also joins Bandari from Kariobangi Sharks where has been for two seasons. He has joined the FKF Premier League side from National Super League side Nairobi Stima in 2021.

“I’m finally home. Bandari is a team I have always wanted to join. I’m here to make sure we achieve everything we set out to do,” Mokaya said.

More signings

On Monday, fullback Omar Somobwana from AFC Leopards, former Kariobangi Sharks forward Felix Oluoch and Mohamed “Mudiga” Abeid from Coastal Heroes were unveiled at the coast.

Somobwana has agreed to terms with the Dockers on a two-year contract while Oluoch, on his part, has penned down a three-year deal. Abeid was handed a two-year deal.
