Akhulia names Kenya U20 squad to chase Four-Nations title

By , March 24, 2024

Kenya U20 stand-in head coach Anthony Akhulia has named the Rising Stars team to take on Malawi at the Four-Nations final at the Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe.

The Bidco United head coach has maintained the squad that defeated Zimbabwe in the semi-final, keeping faith in his boys to deliver the title.

Akhulia found himself in charge of the team after coach Salim Babu failed to travel to Malawi over issues with his travelling documents.

Meanwhile, Kenya started the campaign with a 3-1 win over Zimbabwe on Friday, and a draw against the hosts is enough to hand them the title.

On the other hand, the hosts progressed to the final after a 3-2 victory. Kenya tops the group courtesy of a superior goal difference, and this is seen as a slight psychological advantage against Malawi, who, however, will enjoy massive home support.
