AFCON U20: Why Salim Babu is confident ahead of Kenya’s continental debut

Rising Stars head coach Salim Babu is confident that the preparations they will have for the continental tournament will greatly sharpen his players.
Stars will be heading to Morocco for a 10-day preparation camp, and while there, Babu revealed that a number of friendly games have been lined up.
The games, the former Kenya Police FC head coach said, will give them the right tests to see where they stand ahead of their first-ever appearance in the age-grade African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
“Morocco has similar weather to Egypt, and training there will be key for us to get used to the North African conditions. It will also be a great opportunity to iron out the finer details of our preparations.
“We’ll get friendlies with teams of our age group, possibly also heading to the AFCON. That will give us a very good picture of where we stand,” Babu said, as quoted by a local publication.
The Rising Stars are in Group B alongside Morocco, Tunisia, and Nigeria.
