AFC Leopards recorded another Football Kenya Federation Premier League win following a 1-0 victory over Murang’a Seal in a game played at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.
The win means Ingwe have six wins in seven games, even though they started the season poorly and endured a wanting run throughout the first leg.
Meanwhile, Victor Omune scored in the first half, and Ingwe held tight to that slim lead to eventually win.
Seal almost claimed an equaliser in the 44th minute, but goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi made a huge save to deny them.
In the 72nd minute, Tomas Trucha made a double change, with Cliff Nyakeya and Maxwell Otieno coming on in place for Omune and new signing Arthur Gitego.
Seal had to complete the action with 10 men after Marvin Brian was sent off after a tackle on Mahiga.
Further changes were made in the 86th minute when Luke Namanda and Washington Munene came on, and Vincent Mahiga and Beja Hassan came out.
Tusker win big
Meanwhile, Tusker FC registered a resounding win over Shabana after a 4-0 victory in a match played at the Raila Odinga Stadium.
The win means the former champions returned to winning ways in a very confident manner, as Shabana suffered yet another big loss in the season.
The Brewers settled and got an early opener when Erick Kapaito set Deogratius Ojok through on goal, and the Ugandan found the back of the net in an impressive manner.
Kapaito, who has been enjoying good form so far, could have grabbed the second for Tusker just before halftime, but his attempted overhead kick flew out by inches.
Robert Matano’s charges recorded the second goal in the 55th minute when Ibrahim Joshua struck past the home side’s goalkeeper. The scoreline was further extended in favour of the visitors four minutes after the hour mark, when Shaphan Siwa scored.
Joseph Mwangi was the scorer of the fourth goal, as the former Nzoia Sugar star tapped in a low drive that ensured they would go home with three points, a clean sheet, and a huge win.
Nzoia end winless run
At Thika Stadium, Nzoia Sugar managed to end their winless run by beating Bidco United 2-1.
Ian Simiyu scored the opener for Nzoia Sugar in the 18th minute before United equalised through Douglas Mokaya four minutes after conceding.
The Sugar Millers grabbed the lead in the second half when Daniel Kakai scored. The win means the winless run that has been running since December has come to an end.
Elsewhere, Kariobangi Sharks managed a 2-1 win over Muhoroni Youth. Vincent Wasambo scored the opener for Sharks before Reagan Ochieng scored for Youth.
Late in the second half, Keith Imbali scored the winning goal for Sharks with the assist being provided by Patrick Ngunyi.
