AFC Leopards duo included in FKF PL team of the week

Two AFC Leopards players have earned spots in the FKF Premier League Team of the Week, as announced by the league organizers.

Vincent Mahiga, the fullback for Ingwe, has been selected alongside Victor Omune. Omune notably scored the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Murang’a Seal.

This win marks AFC Leopard’s fifth consecutive victory in the campaign, a remarkable achievement in recent years.

Mahiga, who provided a crucial assist during the match, joins a solid defensive lineup featuring Benard Ondiek from Posta Rangers, Rooney Onyango from Gor Mahia FC and Timothy Muganda from Nairobi City Stars.

Muganda, who captained Nairobi City Stars to an important 1-0 away victory over Bandari, expressed his gratitude for being recognized and stated that it motivates him to work even harder for the team’s success.

“It’s very encouraging to be recognized and to make an appearance in the team of the week.

“This gives me an extra urge to work even harder for the best interest of the team,” Muganda said.

Meanwhile, the goalkeeper selected for the Team of the Week is Michael Wanyika, who played a key role in helping Ulinzi Stars secure a clean sheet against league leaders Gor Mahia.

Other notable inclusions in the team include two players from Tusker FC: midfielder Chris Erambo and forward Ibrahim Joshua.

Kariobangi Sharks also contributed two players: midfielder Keith Imbali and Mathew Kibiwott. Nzoia’s David Simiyu leads the attack alongside Omune and Ibrahim.
