North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko and his Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama have accused Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omogeni of failing to deliver on his oversight role.

The MPs said as a result, the county government was riddled with corruption and other malpractices.

Speaking to People Daily, Arama accused Omogeni of inciting the people of Nyamira against him. But in response, Omogeni (pictured) told Arama to confine his politics to Nakuru.

Nyamoko claimed Omogeni had chosen to go to bed with the county government leading to the loss of county funds through the employment of ghost workers and illegal promotions.

“The current problems facing Nyamira County cannot  be blamed on Governor Nyaribo alone. Omogeni should be held responsible alongside Nyaribo,” he added.

He referred to an incident two weeks ago when the county director in charge of Human Resource Godfrey Kiriago and the payroll manager Geoffrey Mochache Nyamagwa were charged with eleven counts ranging from theft of public funds, illegal employment of ghost workers and illegal promotions.
