National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has listed some of the key issues he believes should be prioritised as Hussein Mohammed takes over as the new Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president.
While congratulating Mohammed and his running mate McDonald Mariga for their resounding victory in the just concluded FKF elections, Wetang’ula in a statement shared via his official X account on Sunday, December 8, 2024, urged the duo to make use of their campaign slogan “a Fresh Start”.
He urged Mohammed to start by fixing Kenya’s sinking football.
Wetang’ula has also challenged Mohammed and Mariga to address financial challenges men and female clubs are facing at all levels of Kenya’s leagues, and make the Kenya Premier League (KPL) and Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) competitive and attractive to sponsors.
