We are in Kenya Kwanza – Wetangula, Kabogo clear the air

By , March 25, 2022

Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has dismissed as fallacious, claims that he has defected Kenya Kwanza Alliance for Azimio la Umoja coalition.

Wetangula who is a co-founder of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader William Ruto and ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi upheld that Kenya’s hope is in the alliance that has been rooting for bottom-up economic policies.

Following reports that he was on his way to joining Raila Odinga’s team, Wetangula sought to calm the fire that had been ignited by netizens by clearing the air that he has been busy receiving and advising candidates.

“Have (sic) had a busy moment at Ford Kenya party HQS receiving, advising and encouraging our candidates in preparation for party primaries. Kenya kwanza is the valid dream and hope for Kenya,” he posted on his official Twitter account.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka had earlier in the week intimated that he has been having an informal dialogue with Wetangula in a bid to convince him to return to the Odinga’s camp to save the country from its current economic crisis.

“Wetangula is my friend and brother. We have suffered together under NASA. We have not formally engaged. If we do, it will be a very good thing. We talk with him on the telephone and I will take up the talks,” Kalonzo told NTV earlier in the week.

At the same time, Tujibebe Party leader William Kabogo upheld that he is in Kenya Kwanza to stay and urged naysayers to keep off.

On Twitter, Kabogo shared a photo of him with Mudavadi stating that he was committed to staying in Kenya Kwanza to liberate the country from economic slavery that has bedevilled it for years.

“(Wacheni udaku manze) Stop the rumours. Thank you Musalia Mudavadi for the invite. Let us think Kenya first,” he posted.

The two cleared the air at a time when social media is filled with all manner of claims on party hopping.

Tomorrow, Saturday , March 26, will be the day that all the registered parties are supposed to present to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties their membership lists.
