The match

This comes after the Mashemeji derby that saw Gor Mahia lock horns with their long-time rivals, AFC Leopards.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw. The stalemate began in the 25th minute when Gor Mahia’s Austin Odhiambo fired a powerful shot past FC Leopards goalkeeper Lewis Opiyo, securing a goal for his team and sparking celebrations among the Gor Mahia fans.

Shortly after halftime, FC Leopards returned determined to equalise.

Their efforts paid off in the 50th minute when they found the back of the net, levelling the score. Gor Mahia, now under pressure to restore their lead on home ground, made several substitutions in an attempt to break the deadlock. However, the match ended in a draw.

This result mirrors the previous meeting in March, which also ended in a goalless draw.
