President Uhuru Kenyatta has extended the term of the Building Bridges Initiative Taskforce to “guide public participation process and structuring recommendations by Kenyans into implementable action plans.”

The President, who met the task force team together with ODM leader Raila Odinga at State House on Wednesday, thanked Yusuf Haji-led team for putting together a report that ‘captured the aspirations of Kenyans’.

State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena in a statement said: “The President and the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga thanked the team for putting together a report that captures the aspirations of Kenyans and requested the Taskforce to continue leading the BBI process.”

Kanze, however, did not indicate the exact time period of the extended term.
