UDA sets Emurua Dikirr aspirants’ forum date

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced an aspirants’ engagement forum ahead of its planned party nominations for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat in Narok County.

In a notice dated March 18, 2026, and shared on X on Thursday, March 19, the party said the forum will bring together all aspirants eyeing the Member of Parliament position for Emurua Dikirr Constituency.

The meeting is set for Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Kuresok Emurua Dikirr Town Hall, starting at 10:00 am. According to the notice signed by National Elections Board chairman Anthony Mwaura, the forum forms part of preparations for the upcoming party nominations.

“Notice is hereby issued that the UDA National Elections Board shall hold an Aspirants’ Engagement Forum for all aspirants contesting for the position of Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr Constituency,” the statement reads.

He added:

“We look forward to your valued participation.”

The forum comes as UDA steps up its nomination process following the declaration of vacancies in several elective seats across the country.

UDA sets nomination guidelines

Earlier, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the party confirmed that it will conduct nominations on March 28, 2026, for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat and ward positions in Samburu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties.

In a separate communication, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan said the exercise will follow a structured process, with aspirants required to register and pay nomination fees through the party’s online portal.

“Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for nomination by registering through the UDA party portal,” the statement said.

The party also outlined strict requirements for applicants. It said registration will only be complete after both the online process and payment are successfully done.

UDA set the registration window between March 17 and March 20, 2026, closing at 5:00 p.m.

The party further published nomination fees for various positions. Aspirants seeking the parliamentary ticket will pay Ksh250,000 for men, while women, youth, and persons with disabilities will pay Ksh125,000. For Member of County Assembly positions, men will pay Ksh50,000, while the other categories will pay Ksh25,000. All fees are non-refundable.

The latest engagement forum signals the party’s push to streamline its internal process and prepare aspirants ahead of what is expected to be a competitive nomination exercise in Emurua Dikirr.
