UDA sets March 28 for Emurua Dikirr, ward nominations, reveals fees
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced fresh party nominations to fill vacant elective positions, opening the race for aspirants in Narok, Samburu, and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. The move sets the stage for political competition as interested candidates prepare to seek party tickets ahead of the upcoming by-elections.
In a notice shared on X on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the party outlined the specific seats up for grabs and provided a clear roadmap for aspirants seeking nomination through its internal process.

“Following the declaration of vacancies in the offices of: Member of the National Assembly for Emurua Dikirr Constituency, Narok County, Members of the County Assembly for: Porro Ward, Samburu West Constituency, Samburu County, Endo Ward, Marakwet East Constituency, Elgeiyo Marakwet County.”
The party further announced that the party nominations shall be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, and encouraged interested aspirants to register through its online platform within the set timelines.
“Notice is hereby given that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party Nominations shall be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for nomination by registering through the UDA party portal. The Registration Period will commence on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 and close on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m,” the statement reads.
UDA also explained the application process, emphasising that aspirants must complete registration and payment through the official portal for their applications to be valid.
“Important application instructions for all: Aspirants must first register on the UDA Portal. Upon completing the registration process, the system will automatically prompt the aspirant to pay the nomination fee through stk Push directly from the portal. Kindly note: Registration is only considered complete after both registration and payment are successfully done through the portal,” the statement reads.

The party went ahead to publish the nomination fees for various positions, highlighting differences across categories such as gender, youth, and persons with disabilities.
- Member of County Assembly(MCA) Male: 50,000 Female: 25,000 Youth: 25,000 PWD: 25,000 Positin;
- Member of National Assembly (MP) Male: 250,000 Female: 125,000 Youth: 125,000 PWD: 125,000
The Party added that all the payments are non refundable.
The notice was signed off by Anthony Mwaura, chairman of the party’s National Elections Board, confirming that the nomination process is now officially underway.
