By , May 5, 2023

A Nairobi court yesterday directed that a criminal case in which three suspects are charged with defrauding an Iranian national Sh 64 million in a fake gold deal be mentioned on May 18.

Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi issued the order after the suspects, including two Kenyans namely Patrick Ngare Muchina and Kelvin Mwaura Ngotho and Congolese national Muke wa Mansoni Didier informed the court that they have not been supplied with copies of witness statements.

The case had been scheduled for pre-trial but it could not proceed since the prosecution has not supplied the defence with documents they are going to use in the case.
