Trans Nzoia clinics get Sh22m drugs

Trans Nzoia county government has received a consignment of drugs valued at Sh22 million which will be distributed to health facilities in the region.

The four trucks’ consignment, which will be distributed among ten healthcare facilities designated as hubs throughout the five sub-counties comprise antibiotics, anti-hypertension, diabetic medications and reagents.

Governor George Natembeya who flagged off the consignment yesterday in Kitale said the drugs were delivered by the Mission for Essential Medications and Supplies (MEDS) following an order placed two weeks ago.

“The health hubs, which include the Kitale County Referral Hospital, will feed all of the county’s remaining 74 health facilities.
