National committee-Syokimau Farm meeting
National Assembly Committee on Lands will this Thursday meet shareholders of Syokimau Farm Limited on Plot No. LR No. 12715 dispute.
Dorcas Gachagua to visit Kathwana/Chuka
The spouse of the Deputy President, Dorcas Rigathi will visit the Kathwana Prison, and later from noon hold a talk at the Chuka University in Tharaka Nithi County.
The meetings are in line with the vision of ‘A Dignified Future for Vulnerable Populations’ that advocates for a life of dignity, and free from alcohol, drug and substance abuse among those in correctional facilities and learning institutions.
TVET Conference
The State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) conference is scheduled to continue with this year’s theme being Enhancing Industry-driven Skills Development for Youth Employability.
The conference brings together stakeholders from public and private sectors, TVET institutions, industry, and development partners and they will be discussing the role of industry in skill development.
Brain Health Conference by Aga Khan University
The Aga Khan University’s Brain and Mind Institute is hosting a conference, themed ‘Healing the Brain: Bridging the Gap in Low and Middle-Income Countries,’ on November 16, 2023, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Upperhill, Nairobi, from 8:00a.m to 11:00 a.m.
This gathering will bring together prominent experts and stakeholders in neuroscience and mental health to explore innovative solutions for promoting brain health in low and middle-income countries.
The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of groundbreaking research, raise awareness about the challenges in providing brain health care, and encourage collaborations to integrate brain health into overall health systems.
The event will also delve into discussions on preventing and treating mental health and substance use disorders, as well as addressing suicidal behaviours in low and middle-income countries.
