Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.

1. KCPE results release

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is set to unveil the results of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations on Thursday, November 23, at 8.00 a.m.

The announcement will be made at the New Mitihani House in South C, Nairobi, by CS Machogu, accompanied by Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang, KNEC CEO David Njengere, and other esteemed guests.

The KCPE and KPSEA exams were conducted from October 30 to November 1, 2023.

2. Senate Committee on Health meets Baby Yasir family

The Senate Committee on Health will convene on Thursday morning to address Senator James Murango’s concerns about the amputation of Baby Ridhwan Yasir Noor’s fingers at Kerugoya County Referral Hospital.

The committee will also discuss Senator Murango’s statement on the delayed construction of the KEMRI Wamumu Station Medical Facility in Kirinyaga County.

Representatives from Baby Yasir’s family, the Ministry of Health, the County Government of Kirinyaga, KMPDC, and Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) will participate in the discussions.

3. KPCU demos

Retirees of the Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (KPCU) from across the country will peacefully demonstrate at KPCU Headquarters on Haile Selassie Ave, Nairobi.

The demonstration, starting at 9:00 am, aims to demand the fulfilment of pension commitments that were not honoured upon retirement.
