Three cops in Eastleigh robbery incident detained for five days

Three police officers attached to Kayole Police Station and a Cameroonian have been detained for five days to enable the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to complete probe over robbery with violence allegations.

The trio were arrested by detectives in Pangani after they robbed two victims of Sh6million at Eastleigh.

Corporal Wilson Cheruiyot, Daniel Kipkorir, Alex Kandie and Cameroonian citizen Esome Jean Baptistae were arraigned before Makadara Law Courts principal magistrate Stephen Jalango.

The investigating officer Isaac Kiplagat sort for 10 days to complete investigations.

According to the DCI, the incident happened at Barwako Lodge, 8th Street 2nd Avenue Eastleigh.

Two other suspects escaped.

The incident happened on October 4.
