Dr Caleb Tanui , a Narok county based gynaecologist was found dead near his home in Nandi county on April 10 this year.

When the suspects appeared in court on Tuesday, Kapsabet Principal Magistrate John Orengo granted the DCI one week to detain the suspects.

Nandi county detectives led by Doreen Khaemba said that they suspect that more suspects involved in Dr Tanui’s murder are still at large.

“We believe that apart from the three suspects, there are more suspects who took part in the murder of the medic and we are requesting for more time to conclude investigation and arrest those who are still on the run,” said Khaemba.

Apart from the wife of the deceased, others who are being held by police in connection with the doctor’s murder include Philip Kimutai and Jonah Kiprop.
