SHA appoints 25 claims management officers
By Kiprono Keileb, April 15, 2026The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced a fresh round of appointments aimed at strengthening its operations and improving service delivery.
In a statement shared on X on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Authority said the move aims at building a more responsive, efficient, and accountable institution capable of meeting the needs of Kenyans.
The Authority explained that the recruitment process was conducted openly and competitively, with a focus on bringing in qualified personnel who can support the processing of claims and enhance overall efficiency in healthcare service delivery.
“The Social Health Authority has strengthened its team with the appointment of 25 Claims Management Officers following a competitive and transparent process. This step reinforces our commitment to efficient, accountable and people-centred healthcare service delivery,” the Authority wrote.
The statement further outlined details of the appointments, noting that the process had been ongoing for months and was carefully managed to ensure fairness and credibility in the selection of candidates.
“The Social Health Authority (SHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of twenty-five (25) new Claims Management Officers. These significant appointments follow a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on 29th July 2025,” the statement reads.

In addition, the Board and management used the opportunity to acknowledge both the newly appointed officers and the existing staff who have continued to support the institution during a period of transition and reform.
