Cracks in bipartisan talk team

After reports that the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) talks failed to kick off on Monday, September 11, eyes will be keen to see whether there will be a resumption on Tuesday.

Cracks are reported to have emerged after the Kenya Kwanza team received express instruction from one of the party leaders not to entertain talks on the audit of the August 22 polls.

One of the items in the National Dialogue is electoral justice and related matters, but it’s now a hot issue that could derail the talks involving the 2022 poll antagonists.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is one of the top Kenya Kwanza leaders who has come out to oppose the audit of the last general elections.

Harambee Stars in action

After beating Qatar in their last friendly match, Harambee Stars will be in action again on Tuesday as they host South Sudan at the Moi International Sports Complex in Kasarani.

Kenya are looking for a second straight victory, which they hope will boost their preparation levels for November’s World Cup qualifier.

Eyes will be on head coach Engin Firat to see whether he will stick with the starting lineup that he deployed against the 2022 hosts.
