My campaigns officially start today – Ruto says as he submits his nomination papers

By , June 4, 2022

Deputy President William Ruto says his campaigns will officially begin today after he’s cleared to run for President by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Speaking during a brief meeting with journalists at his Karen residence, the de facto Kenya Kwanza leader exuded confidence stating that Kenyans are about to see things they have never seen before as he hits the road.

“You haven’t seen anything like a campaign yet, after today, you will see what you have never seen, because we must liberate this country, we must get this country from the hostages of a few people,” the second in command stated.

Ruto who has been campaigning immediately after he was re-elected in 2017 is presenting his papers a day before his main challenger Raila Odinga presents his papers before the same commission.

The presentation of nomination papers of the two front runners lays down the stage for serious campaign seasons ahead of the August polls.
