Ruto lands in Siaya ahead of his projects tour, CS Owalo homecoming ceremony
President William Ruto has landed in Siaya County to conclude his 2-day tour of the Luo Nyanza region.
Ruto, who was flanked by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, was received by Siaya Governor James Orengo and Senator Oburu Odinga among other elected leaders in the county.
The President is expected to hold a meeting with the Siaya County elected leaders on national government development projects in the county before he graces the homecoming ceremony of Information, Communications and Technology(ICT) Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo in Rarieda Constituency.
Ruto’s Siaya tour comes just a day after he launched and inspected development projects in Homabay County.
The President presided over the groundbreaking of the first phase of the Homabay Affordable Housing Program and also commissioned the Homa Bay Town Municipal Market.
Ruto later flew to Kisumu County and held a meeting with Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o and other elected leaders in the lakeside county.
“We are committed to exploiting the full potential of the Kisumu Port that stands to change the economic fortunes of the East African region. At the Kisumu State Lodge, hosted the Kisumu County administration led by Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o. Discussed the development of the port,” the President posted.
Before flying to the Kisumu State Lodge, the Head of State held a meeting with Migori County leaders led by Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko.
