Ruto has stabilised Kenya’s economy – CS Murkomen

By , December 8, 2024

Sports Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen has maintained his stance that President William Ruto has positively transformed Kenya’s economy.

Speaking on Saturday, December 7, 2024, Murkomen asserted that the president had fulfilled the promises aligned in the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.

In particular, the vocal CS stated that Ruto had brought down the cost of living and effectively implemented the universal health coverage.

Murkomen praised Ruto, pointing out that he has outperformed his predecessors and that he has never seen a president who carefully fulfils all of his manifesto’s requirements.

“His Excellency President William Ruto has done a fantastic job under two years in very difficult circumstances, there are many critics who want to judge him with the entire terms of past presidents, but as a matter of fact, if you take two years of ever president when they came to office, Ruto has done extremely well in three years. I have also never seen another president who is so meticulous in ticking every line of his manifesto.

“Pick the Kenya Kwanza manifesto and tell us where the president has failed. He pushed for the universal healthcare and implemented it even with the greatest opposition, in the housing project, we preached for many years he stood firm. In terms of lowering the cost of living and seeing the cost of unga down, he has fulfilled his promise. In terms of CBC, education he fulfilled his promise,” the CS said.

He further expressed confidence that if given more time, the president would positively impact the country and fulfil his promises.

The CS also noted that under Ruto’s leadership, the country is back to a part of growth.

“The only mistake you can accuse the president of is extending a hand to brotherhood and friendship to the opposition side and telling them we can still have opposition and have a national interest for working together as a team and family,” the CS added.
