Ruto, Rigathi arrive at Kasarani stadium for their swearing-in ceremony

President-Elect William Ruto has arrived at the Kasarani stadium ready for his inauguration set for today, Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

The President in waiting was flanked by his wife Mama Rachel Ruto and children. They were received by Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua and his wife Dorcas Rigathi.

The event was attended by 20 heads of state as well as Kenyans from different parts of the country.

Several heads of state including Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique and Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are already in the country.

The swearing-in ceremony will mark Ruto’s presidency for the next five years.
